Title: Old Fashioned Bread Stuffing

Yield: 8 Servings

1cFinely chopped celery
1/2cChopped onion
1tsPoultry seasoning or dried sage leaves
1/2cMargarine
8cDry bread cubes
3/4cChicken broth or water
1/4tsPepper
1/8tsSalt

In a small sauce pan cook celery and onion, in butter, until tender but not brown. Remove from heat. Stir in poultry seasoning, 1/4 ts pepper, and 1/8 ts salt. Place dry bread cubes in a bowl. Add onion and celery mix. Pour in enough broth or water to moisten, tossing lightly. Use to stuff one 8 to 10 lb. turkey. Makes 8 to 10 servings. MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Micro cook onions and celery in a one quart cassrole dish with butter for 6 to 8 minutes on high. Continue as above. HERB AND ONION STUFFING: Prepare as above but add 1 cup more onions and leave out the celery. Use sage and add 1/4 cup snipped parsley, 1/2 ts dried thyme, and 1/4 ts marjoram.
